Show Up for
Your Neighbors.

Real Needs. Real Support.

Free clothing, essentials and a place that meets you where you are. No paperwork, no waitlist, no judgment.

What You Can Find Here

Far more than a clothing closet. What comes in changes all the time, from everyday essentials to furniture and beds, so it never hurts to ask what is available.

More than clothing

  • Clothing and shoes
  • Hygiene and toiletry items
  • Household goods
  • Dry goods (pantry staples)
  • Furniture, beds, and larger items (often available, just ask)

Furniture, beds, and larger items come and go, and are arranged ahead of time (you set up a pickup for what you take). Ask Tia what is available: call (440) 841-6076 or send us a message.

Inside the Donation Center

A peek at what is on the racks and shelves. What is in changes all the time, so it is always worth stopping by.

Inside the donation center, with racks of clothing across the floor. A round rack full of donated clothing. Racks of donated coats and jackets. A rack of children's clothing on hangers. Baby clothing sorted on small hangers. Shelves of donated shoes in many styles. Shelves and crates of neatly sorted clothing and shoes. A shelf stocked with canned and boxed food items. Crates of donated shelf-stable milk. Tia washing and folding donated clothing at a laundromat.

Meet Tia

Portrait of Tia Smith, founder of Tia's Closet.

Tia Smith founded Tia's Closet in 2023. She is someone who has known need herself and never stopped showing up for the people around her, the kind of person who would not let anything go to waste and who helped anyone she could.

She built Tia's Closet on one belief: neighbors should be able to help neighbors, with no judgment and no strings. Nothing here is ever sold. It is a safe space where anyone in need is welcome, no matter where they live, and where you never know what you will find or who you will end up talking to.

"Tia's Closet is here for everyone. Anyone in need is welcome, no matter where they stay, and nothing is ever sold. This is a safe space with no judgment, because I know what it is to struggle myself. Tia's Closet is all about neighbors helping neighbors."

Tia Smith

Founder, Tia's Closet

In her words: "I may not be able to help everyone with everything, but I am able to at least keep a smile on your face."

A Little Joy for Every Holiday

The donation center is about more than essentials. Around every holiday, Tia hands out gift bags to spread joy, connection, and community. She loves to laugh, and she is committed to bringing that same warmth to families across the Cleveland area.

Dates change with the calendar, so check back here or follow along on Facebook to see what is coming up next.

Showing Up When It Counts

When an explosion struck Garden Valley, Tia's Closet and Kindred Harbor Behavioral Health held a relief drive for the families affected, serving food, collecting supplies, and delivering them to the neighborhood.

Donated clothing and supplies sorted for the Garden Valley relief drive. Boxes of supplies and diapers loaded into a truck for delivery. Volunteers loading donated supplies at the truck. Neighbors receiving supplies at the relief delivery. Volunteers serving food to neighbors at the Garden Valley relief drive. Volunteers preparing boxed meals to hand out at the relief drive. Service Runs in the Family

You gotta open up sometime. I've dealt with my share of therapists and case managers with my kids, and Kindred Harbor isn't like them. They care more about the client than how much money they're going to make.— Tia

Kindred Harbor Behavioral Health was founded by a brother and sister, a Marine veteran and a social worker, raised by parents who spent their careers in service to this community.

We are proud to partner with Tia's Closet and to help keep her doors open and her shelves stocked. The care she gives Cleveland-area residents is exactly the kind this community deserves.

We are a community-based behavioral health agency offering therapy, case management, and on-site programs at aging adult facilities across Greater Cleveland. We accept all Ohio Medicaid plans and most private insurance, and everyone is welcome here.

If you came here for essentials and you are carrying heavier things too, we would be honored to walk alongside you. When you are ready, take the first step.

The Get started form is hosted by Ritten, our secure care platform.

Everything at Tia's Closet is free and open to all, with no appointment, no application, and no obligation. Support from Kindred Harbor Behavioral Health is always optional.
